Programme Highlights

  1. The 6-semester School Of Engineering for B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering (Lateral) course is intended to offer a comprehensive intellectual base in modern technologies, emphasising fundamental engineering concepts and applications in related fields.

To be eligible for admission, students must have completed a Diploma in the relevant discipline/field/programme and possess a minimum of two years of full-time work experience in a registered firm/company/industry/educational and/or government autonomous organisation in the field for which they are seeking admission.
  3. The B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering (Lateral Entry) course offered in flexible time shifts adheres to the norms specified by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) in the Approval Process Handbook, which is released periodically.
  4. Live and interactive classes are conducted during weekdays (in the evening time), on weekends, and holidays in the flexible time shifts. After the completion of classes, recorded lectures are accessible through the Learning Management System (LMS) for unlimited viewing. Labs are conducted every Saturday at the campus, and alternatively, virtual simulations are conducted and can be accessed through virtual and remote modes with the help of simulations.
  5. The practical labs can be accessed 24/7 through virtual and remote labs with simulations, providing students with a hands-on experience that closely mimics real-world scenarios.
  6. The students' performance is evaluated continuously through the learning pedagogy, which includes sessional examinations, quizzes, assignments, practicals, and semester examinations. The results are shared with the students to evaluate their performance.

  1. Candidates must have finished a polytechnic diploma in a relevant subject.
  2. Candidates need to possess a minimum of two years of full-time work experience in a registered firm, industry, company, educational institution, or a government or autonomous organisation in the field relevant to their application.

Programme duration :-

  1. The total duration of the course is 3 years which are divided into 6 semesters.
  2. The first 6 semesters are for academic study and the final semester is for Project Work, VIVA, and Industrial Training.
  3. The curriculum of the course majorly includes theoretical papers and laboratory experiments conducted remotely and virtually via simulations.
