Programme Highlights

  1. The SOE Program for M.Tech in Highway Engineering spans four semesters and is tailored to augment the knowledge and refine the existing skills of professionals in the civil engineering field. The program is structured to develop a robust intellectual foundation in contemporary technologies, with a particular emphasis on specific domains and their practical applications.
  2. To be eligible for this program, an applicant must have completed their B.E./B.Tech in the relevant field. Additionally, the applicant should have a minimum of two years of full-time relevant work experience from a registered government or autonomous organisation, company, educational institute, industry, or firm.
  3. The M.Tech in Highway Engineering course offered in flexible time shifts adheres to the norms specified by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) in the Approval Process Handbook, which is released periodically.
  4. Live and interactive classes are conducted during weekdays (in the evening time), on weekends, and holidays in the flexible time shifts. After the completion of classes, recorded lectures are accessible through the Learning Management System (LMS) for unlimited viewing. Labs are conducted every Saturday at the campus, and alternatively, virtual simulations are conducted and can be accessed through virtual and remote modes with the help of simulations.
  5. To provide students with practical lab experience in real-time, virtual and remote labs with simulations are available 24/7. These labs can be accessed remotely, enabling students to gain exposure to real-world scenarios beyond regular lab hours.
  6. The students' performance is continuously evaluated through various learning pedagogies such as sessional examinations, quizzes, assignments, practicals, and semester examinations. The assessment results are shared with the students to provide them with feedback on their performance.

  1. To be eligible for the program, the applicant must have a Bachelor's degree in the relevant discipline (B.E. or B.Tech).
  2. They must also have at least two years of full-time work experience in a relevant industry at a registered workplace.
  3. The program is suitable for individuals with relevant expertise who wish to acquire a full range of skills in critical industry-related areas.

Programme Curriculum

Programme duration :-

  1. The program is divided into four academic semesters and spans over a total of 2 years.
  2. An additional 4th semester is included in the program to accommodate VIVA, Project Work, and Industrial Training.
  3. The course curriculum includes theoretical coursework, as well as virtual labs, where experiments are conducted remotely using simulations.
