Course Overview

The SOE program offers a professional course in flexible shift timings for individuals interested in pursuing an M.Tech degree in Environmental Engineering. This course covers a wide range of scientific topics such as chemistry, biology, ecology, geology, hydraulics, hydrology, microbiology, and mathematics. The objective of this program is to develop solutions that not only safeguard the well-being of living organisms but also enhance the quality of the environment. Additionally, the course focuses on hands-on skill development, which is vital to the core engineering process.

Additionally, the course covers some advanced topics related to environmental science, engineering, and sustainability including environmental chemistry, water and wastewater treatment, environmental pollution control, solid waste management, environmental impact assessment, climate change and sustainability, renewable energy and energy efficiency, and environmental modelling and simulations.

The M.Tech in Environmental Engineering course offered in flexible time shifts adheres to the norms specified by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) in the Approval Process Handbook, which is released periodically.

Live and interactive classes are conducted during weekdays (in the evening time), on weekends, and holidays in the flexible time shifts. After the completion of classes, recorded lectures are accessible through the Learning Management System (LMS) for unlimited viewing. Labs are conducted every Saturday at the campus, and alternatively, virtual simulations are conducted and can be accessed through virtual and remote modes with the help of simulations.

The primary aim of this course is to provide students with a solid foundation in environmental engineering, which aligns with the current requirements of the industry.
