The M.Tech in Power Electronics Engineering SOE Program spans over 4 semesters and is designed to augment the knowledge and refine the existing skill set of professionals engaged in the electrical engineering field. The program aims to establish a robust intellectual foundation in contemporary technologies, with a particular emphasis on power electronics and its related practical applications.
  2. To be eligible for the program, the applicant must have obtained a B.E./B.Tech degree in the relevant field. Additionally, the applicant should have a minimum of 2 years of full-time experience in the relevant field from a registered government or autonomous organisation, company, educational institute, industry, or firm.
  3. The M.Tech in Power Electronics course offered in flexible time shifts adheres to the norms specified by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) in the Approval Process Handbook, which is released periodically.
  4. Live and interactive classes are conducted during weekdays (in the evening time), on weekends, and holidays in the flexible time shifts. After the completion of classes, recorded lectures are accessible through the Learning Management System (LMS) for unlimited viewing. Labs are conducted every Saturday at the campus, and alternatively, virtual simulations are conducted and can be accessed through virtual and remote modes with the help of simulations.
  5. To provide students with practical lab experience in real-time, virtual and remote labs with simulations are available 24/7. These labs can be accessed remotely, enabling students to gain exposure to real-world scenarios beyond regular lab hours.
  6. The student's progress is assessed continuously through various learning pedagogies, such as sessional examinations, quizzes, assignments, practicals, and semester examinations. The evaluation results are shared with the students to provide them with feedback on their performance.

  2. An additional 4th semester is included in the program to cover VIVA, Project Work, and Industrial Training.
