Duration- B.Tech After Diploma for Working Professionals  

B.Tech is a 4 year undergraduate program but with B.Tech lateral entry, the total duration of the program is reduced to 3 years. The candidates eligible for B.Tech lateral admission are allowed to skip the entire first year of the course because they already have the foundational subject knowledge with their polytechnic diploma. 

The 3 years of the course are spread across 6 semesters. SVU has one extra 7th semester included in the curriculum. So the duration becomes 3.5 years.
